Variety captured the moment with a photo of the two MCU veterans standing side-by-side in coordinated green outfits — a playful nod to Doctor Doom’s signature color. Downey Jr., dressed in a sleek dark-green leather jacket and pants over a graphic T-shirt with black-rimmed glasses, flashed his signature smile. Evans, sporting a teal jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, a cap, and glasses, stood beside him with hands in his pockets.
The duo joined Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and directors Anthony and Joe Russo during Disney’s presentation at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Downey Jr. — who is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villainous Doctor Doom — helped introduce the film’s first full-length trailer. The footage reportedly features intense action, including a showdown between Doctor Doom and Thor, multiverse elements, the return of the X-Men, and a surprise appearance by Evans as Steve Rogers (formerly Captain America).
Evans, who had previously stepped away from the role after Avengers: Endgame, confirmed he only agreed to return for a story that gave his character a meaningful purpose.
